Fes
After an early breakfast at your hotel or riad in Fez, your driver will pick you up as early as possible, 07h30 AM in wintertime and 08h00 AM in summer ( that will allow you enough driving time to catch the sunset in Erg Chebbi ).
Ifrane
Your Fes to Marrakech desert tour will start crossing the plains of Saiss towards the Cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains past Ifran and Azrou. You can spot Barbary apes on the side of the street and stop for some photos.
Midelt
Continue to Midelt, where you will stop for lunch. From here you will carry on crossing Ziz River driving past thousands of sky-scraping palm trees and fortified Kasbahs to Erfoud.
Merzouga
Desert Then to Merzouga and Erg Chebbi, where your camel caravan will be waiting for you to ride your camels like nomads to watch the color-changing sunset over Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Drive your camels back to your Sahara desert camp to freshen up before getting ready for your dinner under the stars while entertained by the local nomads playing their drums. Overnight at your Sahara desert camp.
Today the drive will feature one beautiful scene after another including the stunning oasis of Tinghir where you will be able to take a walk along Todgha riverbank visiting Berber villages and learning about the lifestyle of the local inhabitants before you visit the magnificent Todgha Canyons and have lunch on the spot. 2 hours
In the afternoon, drive along the Kasbah road to Dades Valley where you will have the opportunity to visit one of the fortified Kasbahs before you arrive at your boutique guest house. Dinner and overnight in Dades Valley
Next, we will continue our drive towards Ouarzazate, passing through the renowned Skoura oasis known for its beautiful date palm trees. After approximately 30 minutes, we will reach Ouarzazate.
In Ouarzazate, we will visit the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This historical kasbah has served as a backdrop for numerous Hollywood movies, fashion shoots, and commercials. Enjoy a guided tour of the kasbah and take in its remarkable architecture. We will also have lunch in this charming setting. The visit to the kasbah will last around 2 hours, allowing you to fully appreciate its well-preserved beauty.
In the afternoon, we will commence our descent through the majestic Atlas Mountains, passing by various Berber villages. These villages, with their houses constructed using stones and mud, offer a glimpse into a way of life that has remained unchanged for centuries. As we travel, you will witness the traditional livelihoods of the locals, many of whom are shepherds. The scenery along the way is awe-inspiring, showcasing the rugged beauty of the Atlas Mountains.
Finally, we will arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon. Your driver will ensure you reach your riad or hotel safely, marking the end of your unforgettable journey from Dades to Marrakech.
