Embark on an unforgettable 4-day adventure from Marrakech to Fes, traveling through the mesmerizing landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains, the Sahara Desert, and the Ziz Valley. Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Travel through the stunning Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m), offering spectacular views of the High Atlas Mountains. Your first major stop is at the Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, a historic fortress that once served as an important trading post. This UNESCO-listed site has been featured in famous films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
After exploring Aït Benhaddou, continue to Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Morocco" for its famous film studios. The journey proceeds through the Valley of Roses, where you can experience the region's renowned rosewater production. Arriving in the Dades Valley, you’ll settle into your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Boumalne Dades Greetings at your riad or hotel where you will be picked up. you will start your journey southward to Dades Gorges via Tizi n’Tichka pass. you will visit the berber village of Ait Ben Haddou, it was established in the 11th century, its position on the main Marrakech to the sahara route, means it was an ideal stop off for traders taking salt across the desert and returning with goods such as gold and ivory. After lunch you will continue to Dades Gorges through the rose valley. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Wake up to a magical sunrise over the dunes before beginning an off-road desert tour. You'll visit nomadic Berber settlements, the village of Khamlia (famous for Gnawa music), and ancient desert mines.
Enjoy a traditional lunch in Khamlia, then return to your desert camp for an afternoon of adventure. Try sandboarding, take a camel ride, or simply relax and take in the stunning surroundings. As the sun sets, gather around the campfire for an evening of music, storytelling, and stargazing. Spend the night in a cozy nomadic-style tent, immersing yourself in the serene desert atmosphere.
After breakfast, depart from Merzouga towards Fes, passing through the lush Ziz Valley, home to one of Morocco’s largest palm groves. Stop in Midelt for lunch before continuing through the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where you may spot Barbary macaques in their natural habitat. The final stop before reaching Fes is Ifrane, often called "the Switzerland of Morocco" due to its European-style architecture and cool climate. Arrive in Fes by the evening, marking the end of an unforgettable journey through Morocco’s most breathtaking landscapes.
